I am directed to forward herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, two copies of an extract from the Minutes of the 222nd Meeting of the Committee of Imperial Defence, held on March 4th, 1927, regarding the Possibilities of Exerting Economic Pressure on the Nationalist Government of South China.

A similar letter has been addressed to the Treasury, Foreign Office, Dominions Office, India Office, War Office, Admiralty, Air Ministry, Board of Trade, and Department of Overseas Trade.
